Eat colorful food, put it in your mouth.
The immune system can only function optimally if it is constantly supplied with the right nutrients.
A balanced diet rich in fresh and colorful foods is essential. Unfortunately, our diets still too often provide an increased intake of "empty" calories in the form of sugary and refined flour products, unhealthy fats, and alcohol. This results in an insufficient intake of important, immune-relevant micronutrients and fiber, leading to a disrupted immune response.
For example, a diet high in sugar can severely impair the ability of white blood cells to attack bacteria and viruses for several hours.
To optimally support our immune system, we have compiled a few food bowl recipes that are easy to make at home.
These can of course be modified according to individual preferences if one or more food items are not currently available in the local supermarket.
Most important rule: Eat colorful food.
Why?
The different colors in our food provide us with different nutrients. A diverse diet optimally supports our immune system. We also recommend eating some foods raw and some cooked/steamed.
Eat healthy and enjoy your meal!
